The KBFD-TV Message Board

Well, it seems that the administrators of the KBFD-TV message board have summarily removed the old message board and have established a new message board. Read the administrator's announcement here.

Welcome to new KBFD messageboard. First of all, please accept our sincere apologies for lenghty down time of our message board. We had planned to upgrade our messageboard, and the transition was supposed to go without a hitch, without any downtime, but as with many things in life, things happened. We ran into unexpected problems, (such as corrupt files and lost data) and after many attemtps to salvage our old posts and user files, we have decided to adopt a new messageboard. Unfortunately, all users will have to sign up again. Our technicians are still working very hard to salvage lost and corrupt data, but it could take weeks. On the bit of a upside, you can still read posts from the old messageboard and we'll soon provide a link for you. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you and we look forward to seeing everyone of our old messageboard fans again on the new messageboard.

Mahalo.

Update: The administrators have recovered the old posts prior to shutting down the old board and have established an archived site here. (Meaning, no new posts will be allowed on the old board.) The administrator's announcement is located here.

Rookie Alert!!!

Since 2005.07.10 the KBFD-TV (Hawaii) message board has been having technical problems with it's login function, and several months prior to that their registration process was inoperable. I was a member of the message board posting my comments on Korean TV dramas, news, current events and my observations on my trips away from home. I have decided that this form, a web log, or blog as it is more commonly known, suits my objectives better than a message board. There are more controls available here than at a public message board administered by a company contracted by the TV station.

I am living and working in Seoul. I expect to be here through 2007.12.31. Most of my posts will be identical to what I have posted before on the KBFD message board threads My Trip to Seoul, My Trip to Seoul 2, and Mr. TChahng's Adventures in Moving to Seoul. (Links are posted on the right side of this blog.)

Though I have posted my comments in cyberspace before, I consider myself a rookie at blogging. Please be patient with me while I perform discovery learning...

Welcome and I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures.
