It was just a little bump...

I had an "Aw-S#!+" moment yesterday, on my drive to work. There's a four-way intersection in Hannam-dong where drivers are left to the mercy of other drivers' sense of courtesy. A traffic signal is installed but constantly flashes yellow in all four directions. Drivers are usually courteous and some will yield the right of way. Well... not always. I was careless and was trying to squeeze past a car which had already started making a left turn across my right front. We bumped corners on each of our plastic bumpers. His left front corner met my right front corner. I stopped and got out while he also exited his car. I inspected my bumper to find a little white paint. I said, "Kwenchannayo." Then looked at his bumper. I felt badly for him because his chrome trim was bent about 4 inches off his bumper. But I quickly asked him if it was okay. He nodded and said, "Okay." I then reversed my car to let him complete his left turn in front of me and then gave him a bow and made my way through the intersection. The rest of the day I felt really guilty for not compensating him, you know, like how they do it on the K-dramas on TV. Give cash and settle it right there. But he said,"Okay" like it was nothing.
